Why Your RC&D Council Should Be a Member of the NARC&DC

We understand that every dollar is precious in these trying times of shrinking budgets and limited charitable contributions. But renewing your membership is one of the best investments you can make: all your dues money comes back to you several times over in the form of helpful services.

Your dues provide the resources needed by the NARC&DC to help Councils overcome challenges and pursue opportunities. Here’s what we’re doing to help Councils be the best they can be:

National advocacy for RC&D Councils:

  • Congressional funding
  • additional funding for Councils: federal government, national foundations
  • 2012 Farm Bill
  • National promotion - increasing public knowledge

Services to our member RC&D Councils

  • Grant-related: GrantStation Pro Membership, GrantStation Insider, grant research services, mini-grants
  • Training and education: live training, consultation services, National RC&D Conference
  • Publications and mailings: resources for RC&D Council projects and activities; information on community development, water resource protection, alternative energy, etc.

New services in 2012

  • National marketing packets you can customize for your RC&D Council
  • Live web-based training on a variety of topics
  • Enhanced, low-cost teleconferencing services
  • A “members only” section on the NARC&DC’s website that will include helpful resources
  • Discounts on products, services, and conference registrations

Finally, membership enables you to participate in the national RC&D community through the NARC&DC annual awards program, Hall of Fame, and the Circle of Diamonds. These programs bring RC&D Councils, state and regional associations, and the NARC&DC together to recognize the great achievements of our outstanding members and celebrate our shared commitment to advancing our collective mission.

Thank you for your support!
